Rolled-up Item Analysis for Exports
Item Analysis Exports are now available for program groups from both the Quick Exports and Advanced Exports pages. If a coordinator-instructor exports Item Analysis for a program group, he/she can get a summary of student performance across all program sections in the program group, and also student scoring details for each student. Question metrics (difficulty, median time, correct on first try) are also included in Advanced Exports.

Does your state have standards in place for what students should know at the conclusion of a particular course or sequence of courses? We at Pearson have been working to align a number of our courses and textbooks with the outcomes determined by states for higher education. For example, Florida has developed the Postsecondary Education Readiness Test (PERT) as the primary placement assessment used by The Florida College System. We now have four different MyMathLab courses that include the PERT Standards, for easy instructor assessment of student understanding of the objectives.

"Show Work” Questions
While creating assignments, instructors can designate questions as requiring students to show work. For those questions, students show their solution steps in a window using math notation templates; they can also add graphs. Instructors decide how much the show work portion of the question is worth and whether they want to grade it manually or have the program automatically award a partial score.

On March 19, 2009, Microsoft made Internet Explorer 8 (IE 8) part of its automatic update system. MyMathLab will continue to work normally with IE 8. While Pearson works to make MyMathLab fully compatible, MyMathLab will detect IE 8 and automatically use the Compatibility View option to emulate IE 7.

On November 2, 2006, Microsoft made Internet Explorer 7 (IE 7) part of its update system. When you upgrade to IE 7, you will also need to install the latest version of the MathXL Player.
To install the latest Player, log in to your course and use the Installation Wizard to guide you through the installation.
